David began writing at an early age. He wrote short stories, trying to emulate the adventure and intrigue of ‘The Famous Five’, Secret Seven’ or ‘The Hardy Boys’. It wasn’t all fiction though. David wrote for school newspapers and almost studied journalism at University.

Travel Writing & Blogging

In 2002, David returned to writing, completing a Travel Writing diploma and getting work published about S.E. Asia, the USA and Australia.  David had travelled extensively in Asia including Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. He has lived in the UK for the past decade and visited Europe on many occasions including Greece, France, Spain.

Working in Sailing and Motorsport, David has visited many events around the world in some amazing places. When working with NASCAR and the American Le Mans Series, David travelled across the USA visiting San Francisco, New York, Miami, Sebring, Indianapolis and more. David has visited a wide range of sailing destinations including; Cowes, Istanbul, St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, Oman and of course Sydney.

David is an experienced business writer. His work spans advertorials, blog pieces, award submissions, product descriptions, press releases, web copy and more. David is a sought after expert in the sports marketing, sponsorship and sailing space.


David studied marketing at university and picked up the secrets of some of the best practitioners at Unilever, but he believes he learnt more about marketing by working in start-ups than anywhere else. David has created brands from scratch, he has conceived and built products, developed commercial models and delivered all manner of marketing campaigns.

In the last decade, David has specialised in digital marketing, delivering all types of campaigns – from direct marketing to PPC, SEO, affiliate marketing and mobile.
