Interesting take David. I definitely think that there are valuable uses to Twitter. I think some people will take advantage of the platform and use it in a tremendous way. I’m not even opposed to celebrities using it to take control of their messaging and engage fans in a new way.
To delve into the realm you and I often think about sports, who does it well besides Shaq? I’m not yet sure anyone does. Most celebrities and big brands will use it to broadcast their messages. Worse yet, hundreds of thousands of people will use it to auto-follow thousands of people they can sell their crap info product to. Brutal e-marketers, wack real estate agents, etc. will use it all the wrong ways and cause infinitely more noise than signal and the early adopters (the people using it the right way) will disperse to something else.
