  • Heading home. Dinner with christinai. Some cool ideas about innovation, diversity and entrepreneurialism #
  • On the way into the ‘locked down’ city. A couple of people to meet at the yacht club. New Seahorse mag to while away the train ride. #
  • Giving TweetDeck another whirl, but must say I currently still favour Twhirl. #
  • Will be interesting to see if the Volvo Ocean Race gets more coverage in the USA when it hits Boston : http://bit.ly/17f7iR #
  • @khuda1 Interesting – thanks for the tip – I think @yachtbusiness would love to publish a real paper mag – great for their advertisers. in reply to khuda1 #

  • The UK version of wired magazine launches on April 2. I don’t want a UK version. I quite like the original version. #
  • @sportpsychrob The fickle UK crowds and media always support the leading UK driver. Even better if it is an underdog. #
  • @evarley surveymonkey is quick and easy and good value for money. There are some free ones like limesurvey but harder to configure. #
  • Is the value of being an Olympic sponsor worth 10 million of work in kind? http://bit.ly/9zYCC #
  • Seems that I can now update twitter via text message on Vodafone in the UK. Txt test. #
  • Into town this afternoon. Catching up with @sbmktg and then @jonnyrestrick later. #

  • First 2 minutes of the ‘new’ apprentice and I am bored already. Where do they find these people? #
  • Catching up on old podcasts. Currently listening to Brian berger on sports business radio. #
  • @sponsorpitch if sponsorship is a valid part of the marketing mix then it is valid whatever cycle of the economy you are in. #
  • @JasonPeck really? 64% of marketers I come across couldn’t even define it, let alone use it for promotional purposes. Who was the sample? #
  • @sponsorpitch Would be great if the inquiry into RBS sponsorship found that it WAS in shareholder’s interests. in reply to sponsorpitch #
  • Working on a comparative sponsorship guide to sailing. #
  • Is there a simple (free) alternative HTML editor like the old frontpage or dreamweaver. Simple. code and preview. #

  • Imagine if you could sponsor a world championship with 10 global events for 1 millon per year. Good value? Seems cheap to me. #
  • Imagine how boring facebook would be if eveyone set their status as ‘on facebook’ – like twitter people talking twitter. (circular tweet) #
  • Busy day with real people. Whites of eyes, slips, clarifications, body language… All the stuff that twitter can’t do. #
  • Meetings in London. @sbmktg and then new corporate identity project then World Match Racing Tour stuff. #
  • RT @yachtbusiness: Reminder – Sponsorship 101 event in London 1st April. Book online for discount. http://www.yachtsponsorship.com/events #
